You're going to love watching Marilyn prepare this awesome pasta sauce. Take it from the crew - you gotta try this, it's as good as it looks!!!

No-Cook Fresh Pasta Sauce

2 pints cherry or grape tomatoes (or 8 large Roma tomatoes), finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup finely chopped sweet salad onion
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
1/2 cup finely shredded basil leaves
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano

Mix together all ingredients in a large bowl.
Cook 1 pound of pasta according to package directions.
Drain the pasta and toss right away with the sauce and the cheese.
Serve at room temperature. (or may be reheated and served hot.)
Optional: For the heartier appetite, add boiled shrimp or shredded chicken
Serves 6 to 8.
